The dress at almost all of Hilton Head's restaurants is "casual," or "casual nice." Casual means that men need not wear jackets, and women usually choose to dress comparably. However, at the more upscale "casual" restaurants some of the men present usually will be wearing jackets (most often without ties).










Wearing jackets without ties is a widely practiced custom on Hilton Head, and will (to our knowledge) suffice for seating in any of the Island's restaurants. Please note that it really is not appropriate to wear cut-offs or tee shirts to many of our nicer restaurants that call themselves "casual."
